Dr. sc. Lynette Šikić-Mićanović i Paula Greiner na konferenciji SIEF 2023 “Living Uncertainty”; Brno, 7.-10. 6. 2023.

Dr. sc. Lynette Šikić-Mićanović i Paula Greiner sudjelovale su na 16. Konferenciji Međunarodnog društva za Etnologiju i folkloristiku SIEF 2023, održanoj u Brnu od 7. do 10. lipnja 2023. pod nazivom “Living Uncertainty”

Dr. sc. Lynette Šikić-Mićanović tijekom konferencije održala je izlaganje na panelu “Methods in research on uncertain lives” pod naslovom “Ethnographic fieldwork with persons experiencing homelessness: negotiating issues of power and ethics”, u kojem se bavila preispitivanjem i redizajniranjem praksi etnografskih istraživanja u smjeru veće inkluzivnosti i temeljenih na refleksivnim i odgovornim prosudbama.

Asistentica Paula Greiner tijekom konferencije je održala izlaganje na panelu „Into the unknown: uncertainness as the common condition of mobilities ” pod naslovom „Most of the time I have to move, I am never in the same place” – Mobilities and the Emotional Experiences of Places in the City of Zagreb Among People in Street Homelessness“. Izlaganje je tematiziralo iskustva mobilnosti osoba u uličnom beskućništva u Zagrebu s naglaskom na afektivnim dimenzijama mjesta u gradu.

Obje prezentacije predstavljene su kao dio rezultata CSRP projekta Exploring Homelessness and Pathways to Social Inclusion: A Comparative Study of Contexts and Challenges in Swiss and Croatian Cities (No. IZHRZO_180631/1).

Dr. Lynette Šikić-Mićanović and Paula Greiner at the SIEF 2023 conference “Living Uncertainty” held from 7 – 10 June 2023, in Brno

The 16th Conference of the International Society for Ethnology and Folklore SIEF 2023, entitled “Living Uncertainty” was held in Brno from 7 – 10 June 2023.

Dr. Lynette Šikić-Mićanović presented in the panel “Methods in research on uncertain lives” entitled “Ethnographic fieldwork with persons experiencing homelessness: negotiating issues of power and ethics”, in which she argued for rethinking and redesigning ethnographic research practices along more inclusive, collaborative lines based on reflective and responsible judgements using qualitative methodological approaches.

Assistant Paula Greiner presented a paper in the panel “Into the unknown: uncertainty as the common condition of mobilities” entitled “Most of the time I have to move, I am never in the same place” – mobilities and the emotional experiences of places in the city of Zagreb among people experiencing street homelessness”. The presentation addressed the experiences of mobility of people experiencing street homelessness in Zagreb with an emphasis on the affective dimensions of places in the city.
