Cultural Heritage and Identities of Europe’s Future

About the project

Basic information

Project description

Europe’s values of minority rights and cultural diversity face pressing challenges today. The rise of youth radicalisation, doubts about the meaning of the European project, and the resurgence of tribal identities and separatism prompt a fundamental reassessment of Europeanness as a culture of dialogue and mutual respect. In this context, the EU-funded CHIEF project seeks to forge an effective dialogue among diverse stakeholders, fostering a future Europe rooted in inclusive notions of cultural heritage and identity. Spanning nine countries within and outside the EU, this interdisciplinary, transnational initiative explores the influence of informal interactions on young Europeans’ understanding of their cultural heritage. Ultimately, CHIEF empowers its beneficiaries and strengthens their capacity for innovation.
