Renata Franc, PhD, and Augustin Derado, PhD, at the VISTA COST Action Meeting; Milan, 22-23/01/2026
Renata Franc, PhD, and Augustin Derado, PhD, participated in the first general meeting of the VISTA COST Action “Values in Turbulent Times: Navigating Social Changes and Challenges” (CA24150). The meeting was held at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) in Milan, Italy, on 22 and 23 January 2026
During their stay in Milan, they actively participated in the work of the thematic working groups “Methodological Challenges in Value Measurement” and “Contextual and Individual Factors Driving Value Change”. In addition to contributing to the working groups, Augustin Derado, PhD, also participated in the Management Committee meeting of the action.
The COST action VISTA explores how external disruptions, interacting with internal social dynamics, are reshaping values across Europe. Key objectives of the action include: a) analysing the multidimensional impact of social crises on citizens’ values, b) contextualising the role of generational shifts, c) exploring regional and cultural variations, d) identifying themes in value transformation, and e) examining the impact of technological progress on value changes.
