Research Assistant Iva Sušilović presented the results of the MotiKA project at the International Conference Empowering Potential for Community Prevention Activities; Osijek, 5-7/02/2026
At the 11th International Conference Empowering Potential for Community Prevention Activities, assistant Iva Sušilović participated with a poster presentation on the topic “Attitudes towards social justice, perceived behavioural control and social norms as predictors of participation in collective actions”. The poster was prepared in collaboration with the MotiKA project leader, Renata Franc, PhD, Prof. Zoran Sušanj, PhD, and Prof. Ana Belajdžić, PhD
The poster presents part of the results of a pilot study involving 214 students from four Croatian universities, the aim of which was to examine the interrelationship of subscales within the Social Justice Scale (Torres-Harding et al., 2012). Multiple regression analysis found that attitudes about social justice, perceived behavioral control, and social norms significantly positively predict intentions to promote social justice, with perceived behavioral control emerging as the strongest predictor.
In addition to the scientific contribution, the results obtained have important practical implications in terms of encouraging citizens to take collective action and take an active role in building their own communities and promoting social justice.
