Jun Sune Sakamoto, a second-year master’s student at Hiroshima University, Postgraduate Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences, visited the Vukovar Regional Center from June 29 to July 3, 2026
In collaboration with Sandra Cvikić, PhD, he conducted qualitative research with members of the City Council of the City of Vukovar and members of the Vukovar-Srijem County Assembly, as well as representatives of civil society organizations from Vukovar and Osijek.
The aim of his research is to examine how members of the Vukovar City Council and members of the County Assembly are involved in the peacebuilding process in Vukovar, focusing on the Vukovar Multiethnic School project that was not implemented in 2014.
