A Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences and The Institute of Economics, Zagreb. The Agreement was signed on 7 July 2026 by Ivana Rašić, PhD, Director of The Institute of Economics, Zagreb, and Željko Holjevac, PhD, Director of the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences
The Institute of Economics, Zagreb is a public research institute specializing in scientific and professional research in macroeconomics and international economics, business economics and economic sectors, regional development, social policy, the labour market, and related fields. These areas closely align with the project activities and research priorities of the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences, including social innovation, governance and sustainable development, quality of life, individual differences, and related topics.
Through this Agreement, the two institutes intend to strengthen their cooperation in the preparation and implementation of scientific research projects addressing social sciences, the humanities, and other fields and topics of mutual interest (such as the energy, digital, and climate transitions), within competitive national and international funding programmes.
In addition, both institutes plan to develop and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration with the business sector and public policy stakeholders, cooperate in the organization and implementation of scientific and professional conferences, congresses, seminars, workshops as well as service programmes, collaborate in publishing activities and the exchange of publications, and promote other forms of academic cooperation and exchange, including applied scientific research and collaborative public engagement with science outreach.
