The Vis Regional Center: a new premises in the city hall building; Vis, 17/6/2026
On 17 June 2026, an agreement on the lease of business premises was signed in the town of Vis between the town of Vis and the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences. The agreement was signed by the mayor of Vis Hrvoje Mratinić and the Director of the Institute, Prof. Željko Holjevac, PhD. In addition to the Director, the Institute was represented by Marko Mustapić, PhD, head of the Vis Regional Center, and Benjamin Perasović, PhD, a member of the Institute’s Managing Board who is currently conducting research on youth social participation on the island of Vis as part of the NextGenerationEU TYPeS project
This agreement represents a major step towards creating conditions for the quality development of the Vis Regional Center, for future research, research projects and broader cooperation of the Institute with institutions and social actors on the island of Vis in order to further integrate the Institute’s research heritage with the social development of the island of Vis.
