Representatives of the Pilar Institute Participated in the 26th Sports Games of the Independent Union of Research and Higher Education; Rovinj, 27-31/05/2026
For the first time, the Pilar Institute was represented at the Sports Games of the Independent Union of Research and Higher Education. The 26th edition of the Games, held from 27 to 31 May 2026 at the Amarin Resort in Rovinj, brought together more than 750 competitors and their family members from 62 Union branches across Croatia. Participants competed in 16 different sporting disciplines, and Mirela Crljen, mag. oec., and Anja Wertag, PhD, represented the Institute at the event
This year we narrowly missed a trophy despite reaching the finals. To ensure it for the next year, all current and future union members are encouraged to plan to join the 27th Sports Games of the Union. Beyond the competition itself, the Games proved to be an excellent opportunity for active recreation during paid leave, as well as for networking with colleagues from other institutions and opening pathways for future collaborations, partnerships, and joint initiatives.
