Agreement on Cooperation between the Institute and the Ombudsman for Persons with Disabilities of the Republic of Croatia Signed; Zagreb, 04/02/2026
On 4 February 2026, the Agreement on Cooperation between the Institute and the Ombudsman for Persons with Disabilities of the Republic of Croatia was signed at the Institute’s Zagreb headquarters. The agreement was signed by the Director of the Institute Prof. Željko Holjevac, PhD, and the Ombudsman, Darijo Jurišić, in the presence of the Deputy Director Ljiljana Dobrovšak, PhD, and Advisor to the Ombudsman Branka Meić Salie

Cooperation between the parties to the agreement includes cooperation in the implementation of scientific research and professional projects, especially in the field of social policy, protection of vulnerable groups and the rights of citizens in general and persons with disabilities, within the framework of the common interests of the parties to the agreement, cooperation in the organization and participation in collaborative scientific and professional meetings, congresses, seminars, round tables, workshops and service programs, cooperation in applications for tenders for domestic and international projects with research proposals, especially those relating to social, humanistic and other topics of common interest, cooperation in the implementation of various scientific and professional expertise and consultations, implementation of designed activities that contribute to the promotion of history, culture and rights of vulnerable groups and citizens’ rights in general, cooperation in the field of publishing, exchange of publications and promotion of editions, popularization of science and organization of educational events for the general public, and other forms of cooperation of common interest.
In addition to a discussion about the possibilities of cooperation within the framework of the planned Action Plan for Combating Discrimination, the parties to the agreement determined the particular importance of supporting and developing existing, as well as designing new scientific and professional projects and programs, and developing mutual relations for the purpose of taking measures to promote a culture of equality and equity and developing programs that strengthen the Institute’s social engagement in the community, with a special emphasis on strengthening diversity, fairness and social inclusion. The Institute and the Ombudsman expressed their readiness to develop mutual cooperation and implement joint activities, especially in the field of scientific research and the implementation of scientific research projects, organizing workshops and promoting publications, educational events for the general public and publishing within the framework of common interests.
