Project description
The World Values Survey project – Croatia in a globalized world is part of the World Values Survey, which investigates the values of citizens of several countries at the same time. The aim of the research is to determine the dominant social values in individual countries and to compare the results of different countries. Value research is carried out on probabilistic samples of citizens of several countries using a standardized survey questionnaire so that each of the participating countries applies a common measuring instrument (survey questionnaire) translated into their own language, conducts a survey and sends the data to a common database. By combining data collected from research in different countries, it is possible to compare countries and test specific hypotheses related to the determinants of the formation of values in individuals derived from theories of social development, theories of undemocratic or intolerant behavior, but also specific assumptions about the formation, consistency and social and biological conditioning of values.
