History of football club Gospić `91. – on the occasion of one hundred years of professional football in Gospić

The central backbone of the project, which was commissioned by the Football Club Gospić ´91, was to scientifically research and present the historical development of professional football in Gospić, a sport marked by numerous players, clubs, football experts, enthusiasts and sports and cultural workers. The project on the history of football in Gospić presents not only sporting successes and failures, but also specific social, cultural and economic changes in the Lika metropolis where football clubs played a multiple role. Bearing in mind the above, the goal of the project was a popular scientific monograph that brings together the city’s turbulent sports past, thus showing in an interesting way the role of numerous people, important events and moments of pride from the past of a football club. An important role in the project was also played by football experts from Gospić who helped the manager in the historical reconstruction (oral history) of the many challenging years that the Gospić ´91 Football Club lived and survived.
