At the 25th Psychology Days international scientific and professional conference, organized by the Department of Psychology at the University of Zadar from 21st to 23rd of May 2026, Research Assistants Maja Kućar and Tamara Bolić presented findings from two studies conducted within the Adolescent Well-Being in Key Contexts (TEEN-WELL) research project
Tamara Bolić (coauthors: Andreja Brajša-Žganec and Marija Džida) presented the paper titled “The Role of Need Crafting in the Relationship Between Parental Support and Adolescent Well-Being”. The presentation examined the role of need crafting in explaining the relationship between parental support and adolescent well-being, highlighting the importance of both supportive family environments and adolescents’ active engagement in meeting their psychological needs.
Maja Kućar (coauthors: Tamara Bolić, Marija Džida, Andreja Brajša-Žganec, and Marina Kotrla Topić) presented the paper titled “Longitudinal Changes in Executive Functioning Difficulties and Their Association with Screen Time”. The presentation focused on longitudinal changes in executive functioning difficulties among adolescents and their association with screen time, contributing to a better understanding of developmental processes related to cognitive functioning in the digital age.
Both studies were conducted as part of the TEEN-WELL research project, which investigates factors contributing to adolescent well-being across key developmental contexts. Second presentation drew on data from CHILD-WELL project as well (Child well-being in family context) The presented findings provide further insight into the mechanisms that support positive youth development and well-being.
