M.Sc. Mirko Petrić at the conference of the network for the sociology of culture of the European Sociological Association; Rome, 21-23/01/2026
In the period between January 21 and 23, 2026, M.Sc. Mirko Petrić participated in the conference of the research network for the sociology of culture of the European Sociological Association (ESA RN07, under the title “Cultural Vulnerabilities and Planetary Problems: Creating New Sociological Studies of Culture Between Fragility and Fortitude”
As part of the meeting, held at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Rome La Sapienza, M.Sc. sc. Mirko Petrić presented in two press releases, prepared in co-authorship with Scientist Emerita Inga Tomić-Koludrović, PhD, Predrag Cvetičanin, PhD (University of Niš) and Adrian Leguin, PhD (Loughborough University).
The first of two presentations, based on empirical data obtained from surveys conducted as part of the NextGenderHr project, was on the topic of “Socio-digital inequalities in the cultural consumption of students of three Croatian universities”. The second presentation dealt with the question of “Is there a homology between political and aesthetic preferences?”
During his stay in Rome, M.Sc. Petrić also participated in the meeting of the management board of the research network for the sociology of culture of the European Sociological Association (ESA RN07), of which he is a member. In his capacity as the coordinator of the data collection project on the sociology of culture in different European countries, he presented a report on the activities of the past year at the meeting.
