MIC – VIS 2026: The PRISCLIM project team presented two studies at the MIC – VIS 2026 conference; Vis, 16–19/09/2026
Members of the PRISCLIM project team participated in the MIC-VIS 2026 Conference, held from 16 to 19 September 2026 on the island of Vis, Croatia. During the conference, a project meeting of the PRISCLIM team was also held to review ongoing project activities and agree on plans for the upcoming period
As part of the conference programme, two studies addressing different perspectives on life and work within the correctional system were presented.
The first study, “Judging the Book by Its Cover: Patterns of Drug-Related Crimes and Characteristics of Their Perpetrators,” was presented by project team member Renata Glavak Tkalić, PhD. The study presented findings based on data collected from a sample of incarcerated individuals, focusing on patterns of drug-related offences and the characteristics of their perpetrators.
The second study, “It Matters Where You Work: Job Satisfaction and Well-Being Among Correctional Prison Officers in Croatia,” was presented by project team member, research assistant Vicko Ćudina. The study focuses on the perspective of correctional officers and examines factors associated with job satisfaction and employee well-being within the Croatian correctional system.
Participation in the MIC-VIS 2026 Conference provided an opportunity to present project findings to the wider scientific community, exchange experiences with other researchers, and foster opportunities for future collaboration.
