The oral presentation entitled The Role of Climate Change Beliefs and Concern in Explaining Croatian Citizens’ Mitigation and Adaptation Intentions (co-authors: Igor Mikloušić, and Renata Franc) presented part of the results of the pilot study of the DISINFO klima project
The aim of this study was to examine Croatian citizens’ beliefs about climate change, their association with climate concern, and general willingness to change behaviour to mitigate the effects of climate change. The results indicate relatively high levels of climate change awareness among Croatian citizens, with somewhat lower levels of willingness to change behaviour, as well as the role of concern as a climate-related emotion in explaining willingness to take action.
