The European Commission has featured the Horizon 2020 project INVENT in the “Success Stories” section of its research and innovation website, under the title “Greater cultural inclusivity is key to Europe’s social progress”
Greater cultural inclusivity is key to social progress in Europe
The Croatian partner in this project — whose full title is “European Inventory of Societal Values of Culture as a Basis for Inclusive Cultural Policies in the Globalising World” — was the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences.
The Pilar project team consisted of Inga Tomić-Koludrović, PhD (Project Leader), Mirko Petrić, M. Sc., Lynette Šikić Mićanović, PhD, Augustin Derado, PhD, and Iva Žunić (MA in Sociology and Psychology). Associate members included Željka Zdravković, PhD (University of Zadar) and Dea Vidović, PhD (Kultura Nova Foundation).
Inga Tomić-Koludrović, PhD, and Mirko Petrić, M. Sc., led Work Package 7 of the INVENT project, which delivered the project’s core outputs: a website on the societal values of culture, a handbook for cultural policymakers, and a scholarly monograph on the subject.

The guidebook “Towards a Societal Turn in Culture” has been translated into Spanish and Catalan. An expanded edition of the guidebook in Croatian is currently in preparation.
