At the Pilar Institute, the History and Culture of the Dugoselo Area was presented; Zagreb, 23/09/2026
On 23 September 2026, the promotion of the new scholarly edited volume entitled History and Culture of the Dugo Selo Area was held in the Multimedia Hall of the Pilar Institute. Published in September 2026, the volume brings together extensive scholarly and professional contributions that provide a detailed examination of the rich historical, social, and cultural heritage of the Dugo Selo area. It is the result of a successful co-publishing collaboration between the Pilar Institute and the Dugo Selo City Library
The promotion was moderated and hosted by Ljiljana Dobrovšak, PhD. The introductory address was delivered by Prof. Željko Holjevac, PhD, Director of the Pilar Institute, who emphasized the Institute’s commitment to promoting scholarly research into local history in Croatian regions. This was followed by an address from Predrag Topić, Director of the Dugo Selo City Library, who is also one of the editors of the volume. A scholarly review and analysis of the published contributions was presented by the editor Danijel Vojak, PhD. In the final part of the programme, Tomislav Matić, PhD, one of the contributors to the volume and a researcher at the Croatian Institute of History, presented his specific research and contributions to the volume.
