Results of the DISINFO Climate Project Presented at the European Association of Social Psychology Conference; Strasbourg, 30/06 – 04/07/2026
The results of the first pilot study of the DISINFO Climate project were presented at the conference of the European Association of Social Psychology, held in Strasbourg, France, from 30 June to 4 July 2026, in the poster presentation titled “Designing and evaluating climate change disinformation videos made using artificial intelligence as experimental manipulation” (authors: Marija Neralić, Marina Maglić, Tomislav Pavlović, Igor Mikloušić, and Renata Franc)
The aim of this phase of the project was to evaluate the validity of the climate change videos that were used as experimental manipulation materials in the main study. The poster presentation attracted the attention of numerous conference participants, who had the opportunity to watch the videos and learn more about the project itself.
In addition, Jan-Willem van Prooijen, an external collaborator on the DISINFO Climate project, received the Association’s Mid-Career Award at the conference in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of social psychology to date. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to him on this well-deserved achievement.
