On May 19, 2026, Ivo Turk, PhD, participated in a working meeting of experts with the aim of preparing a new Management Plan for the Public Institution of the Žumberak Nature Park – Samoborsko gorje for the programming period 2027 – 2036. The meeting was held at the Visitor Center of the aforementioned nature park in Sošice
Since Žumberak is a rural depopulation area affected by long-term emigration and its revitalization is not possible without immigration, this management plan is thematically linked to the guidelines of the DinamiRH project. The meeting was attended by experts from the fields of archaeology, biology, demography, history and geography. Representatives of the Croatian Mountaineering Association and the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service were also present.
