The scientific and professional conference Kosinjska dolina – jučer, danas i sutra / Kosinj Valley – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow was organized with the aim of creating a critically examined public image of the Kosinj Valley with heritage strongholds and a development perspective. In preparing the conference, it was shown that there is considerable interest among the scientific public in topics related to the past, present and future of the Kosinj Valley. Therefore, the conference was attended by 42 scientists and public figures who gave 36 presentations from geography, archaeology, history, Glagolitic, linguistics, ethnology, sociology, art history, geodesy, hydrology, agronomy and other professions. Scientifically verified and well-founded facts contributed to the valorization of Kosinj’s natural, social, economic and cultural features. Therefore, this collection represents the basis for better knowledge and a more complete understanding of the Kosinj Valley on the one hand, and an attempt to create an interdisciplinary hub for future research on the other.
