On February 5, 2026, Danijel Vojak, PhD, held an online lecture on the topic “Roma Genocide During the Second World War in the Area of the NDH” as part of the expert workshop Holocaust and Roma genocide: Education for and about the Balkan region
The goal of the project is to provide a deeper understanding of the Holocaust and genocide against the Roma in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, encourage critical thinking, promote tolerance and empathy, as well as emphasize the constant importance of education on the aforementioned topics. The organizers of the workshop were Haver Srbija, the Holocaust Fund of the Jews from Macedonia and the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA).
