Vinicije Lupis, PhD, Participated in the Presentation of the monograph The Story of Žuljana; Dubrovnik, 19/10/2026
On Monday, October 19, 2026, the monograph The Story of Žuljana, authored by Jadran Jeić Baguzej, was presented at the Saloča od zrcala (Hall of Mirrors) in the City Public Library. The event was co-organized by the Pilar Institute and held as part of the Croatian Book Month program
The monograph provides a comprehensive overview of the history and cultural heritage of Žuljana and the Pelješac Peninsula. A particular strength of the book lies in its numerous new findings – based on original archival documents – which shed light on previously little-known aspects of the past of this Pelješac locality and its historical ties to the Republic of Dubrovnik.
The presentation was moderated by the poet Željko Hasan Markov, while the book’s scholarly and cultural significance was addressed by reviewer Vinicije Lupis, PhD. A text by another reviewer, Domagoj Vidović, PhD, who was unable to attend, was presented by Antonija Prišlić, Head of the Municipality of Janjina.
