On September 28, 2026, a professional gathering for teachers was held at Ružička House, dedicated to the monograph on the 5th Guards Brigade of the Croatian Army—the “Sokolovi” (Falcons)
This professional seminar for history teachers from Vukovar-Srijem County, titled The “Sokolovi” Monograph – Didactic and Scientific Approaches to Teaching about the Homeland War in Vukovar-Srijem County, was organized through the collaboration of the Club of War Commanders and Senior Officers of the “Sokolovi” 5th Guards Brigade Veterans’ Association, Vukovar-Srijem County, and the Education and Teacher Training Agency, in partnership with the Pilar Institute – Vukovar Regional Centre.
Sandra Cvikić, PhD, participated in the seminar as the moderator of Panel I: “Scientific Overview of the ‘Sokolovi’ Monograph and the Historical Context of the Homeland War in Vukovar-Srijem County, with a Focus on the ‘Sokolovi’ Monograph.” As part of Panel I, she also delivered an introductory presentation “(Re)construction of the Scientific Discourse on the Homeland War.”
