Andreja Brajša-Žganec, PhD, Presents Research from the TEEN-WELL project at the ENSEC Conference; Porto, 09-11/09/2026
At the 10th ENSEC Conference (European Network for Social and Emotional Competence), held on 9–11 September 2026 at Lusíada University in Porto, Portugal, Andreja Brajša-Žganec, PhD, presented a study titled “The Role of Parents and Peers in Different Domains of Adolescent Life Satisfaction”. The study was prepared by Andreja Brajša-Žganec, PhD, Tamara Bolić, Marija Džida, PhD, and Tihana Brkljačić, PhD (Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences), together with Ivana Hanzec-Marković, PhD (University of Slavonski Brod), as part of the TEEN-WELL project
The study was conducted on a sample of 1,354 Croatian adolescents aged 14 to 18, aiming to determine the contribution of parents and peers to life satisfaction. The results show that family factors, particularly perceived family support, are the strongest predictors of life satisfaction, while peer factors additionally explain a smaller but significant portion of the variance.
The conference also provided an opportunity to connect with international experts in the field of social and emotional competence, exchange experiences, and build new collaborations for future research.
