At the Pilar Institute Regional Center in Vukovar, on June 2, 2026, Dražen Živić, PhD, held another lecture as part of the regular forum “Scientific Tuesday at the Pilar Institute”. The topic of the forum was “Demographic revitalization or population substitution? Eastern Croatia and migration”
This is a scientifically relevant and socially very current topic that problematizes the role and importance of contemporary internal and external migration in the area of Eastern Croatia. The lecture presented selected research results within the project “Dynamics and Challenges of Migration, Re-emigration and Immigration in the Republic of Croatia (DinamiRH)”, which is funded by the European Union (NexGenerationEU).
Among the visitors to the Forum were representatives of the City of Vukovar, Vukovar-Srijem County, Vukovar Police Station, the State Archives in Vukovar, as well as doctoral students from Poland residing in Osijek.
