From May 5 to May 8, 2026, the Thirteenth History Festival Kliofest 2026 was held, where historian Ljiljana Dobrovšak, PhD, participated on several ocasions
On the evening before the opening of the Kliofest History Festival, at the Bogdan Ogrizović Library and Reading Room, she presented the book Vladimir Vasiljević, My Experiences: Diary Notes from the First World War and the Post-War Period (edited by Karlo Rukavina and Damir Agičić), published by Srednja Europa. Alongside Ljiljana Dobrovšak, PhD, the book was presented by Damir Agičić, Karlo Rukavina, and Hrvoje Gržina.
On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the new book by Ljiljana Dobrovšak, PhD, titled Pioneers of Industry in Croatia of Jewish Origin, published by the Jewish Religious Community Bet Israel in Croatia and Stajer Graf, was presented. Alongside the author, the book was presented by the reviewer Ivana Žebec Šilj, PhD, from the Pilar Institute and the editor of the book, Jasminka Domaš.
In the evening of May 6, 2026, Ljiljana Dobrovšak, PhD, participated as a reviewer in the presentation of Dino Staničić’s book Dialogue with a Purpose / Jay Winter: Geometry of Memory and the Logic of Silence, published by FF Press and the Center for Innovative Studies of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Alongside her, Filip Hameršak and Dino Staničić also took part in the presentation.
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, a workshop titled Turning Points: Milestones in Women’s History (scientific project HRZZ – Women and Changes: Women as Subjects of Historical Transformations) was held in the Council Hall of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb. At the workshop, Ljiljana Dobrovšak, PhD, gave a lecture titled Vilma Vukelić: A Life Beyond the Framework, in which she spoke about the writer and translator Vilma Vukelić from Osijek and the challenges she faced as a woman.
