On the occasion of the International Day of Happiness, the Positive Psychology Conference with the theme Initiate Real Change was held at the Algebra Bernays University in Zagreb on 17 March 2026. Positive psychology deals with everything that makes life good, organizations successful, and societies prosperous. The panel on the personal application of positive psychology was attended by Scientist Emerita Ljiljana Kaliterna Lipovčan, PhD, and Andreja Brajša-Žganec, PhD
Ljiljana Kaliterna Lipovčan, PhD, spoke about international comparisons of happiness and life satisfaction, and Andreja Brajša-Žganec, PhD, about the well-being of children and adolescents in the family and other contexts, and about the insights from the CHILD-WELL and TEEN-WELL projects.
The conference introduced the general public to positive psychology and its various applications ahead of the International Day of Happiness, which is celebrated every year on March 20.
