Marija Neralić, assistant on the DISINFO Climate project, presented the results of the pilot research of the DISINFO Climate project at the international conference International Conference Empowering Potential for Community Prevention Activities, held from 5 to 7 February 2026 in Osijek

The presentation entitled “Frustration of Psychological Needs and Perceived Self-Efficacy as Predictors of Readiness to Change Lifestyle and Work in the Context of Climate Change” (authors Marija Neralić, Marina Maglić and Renata Franc) showed the connection between frustration of psychological needs and perceived self-efficacy and their contribution as predictors of readiness to change with the aim of mitigating climate change.
The presentation stimulated a discussion on psychological factors with a role in readiness for change in the context of climate change, and the implications of strengthening psychological resources with an emphasis on effective climate communication were discussed.
