Managing Board
Managing Board manages the Institute, conducts financial and business policy, decides on the disposal of high-value assets in accordance with the Institute’s Statute, and decides on all issues that are not within the competence of other bodies under the Statute of the Institute.
Managing Board of the Institute consists of seven members, one of whom is the President of the Council, appointed by the Minister of Science, Education and Youth. Four members of Managing Board are appointed and dismissed by the Minister of Science, Education and Youth, two members are appointed and dismissed by the Scientific Council from among its members, and one member is appointed by the Institute’s Workers’ Council as an employees’ representative.
The term of office of the President and members of the Managing Board lasts four years.

Scientific Council
The Scientific Council is an expert body of the Institute. The Scientific Council of the Institute has 40 members: the Director of the Institute, 37 representatives of employees in scientific job positions (from the field of social sciences and humanities and from the interdisciplinary scientific fields), 1 representative of employees in the associate position of assistant and 1 representative of employees in the associate position of senior assistant.

The Disciplinary Committee determines violations of work obligations, damage to the Institute’s reputation, and violations of the Code of Ethics.
Director's Board
Director’s Board is a coordinating and advisory body of the Director that discusses and assists the Director in deciding on current business issues.
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board assesses the quality and significance of scientific research and the work of the Institute, proposes the launch of new strategic directions of research, international cooperation, and communication and dissemination of research results. Young Scientists Club
The Young Scientists Club was founded in 2005 with the aim of bringing together assistants employed at the Pilar Institute. Through the club, assistants discuss all important issues related to work at the Institute and postgraduate studies at the educational institutions they attend. Since young scientists have their representatives on the Scientific Council of the Institute, the Young Scientists Club also allows young scientists to express their opinions before the Council regarding all current affairs and development plans of the Institute.
Workers' Council
The Workers’ Council of the Institute was founded in 2008, in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Act, and has 3 representatives of the Institute’s employees. It is elected for a four-year term. On May 1, 2022, the Workers’ Council was elected, consisting of:
