Članovi istraživačkog tima CSRP projekta Exploring Homelessness and Pathways to Social Inclusion: A Comparative study of Contexts and Challenges in Swiss and Croatian Cities (br. IZHRZO_180631/1) pripremili su i održali stručnu interaktivnu radionicu “Projekt CSRP – Preporuke politika i praksi u radu s osobama u beskućništvu” 27. rujna 2023. Okupljajući eksperte u radu s osobama u beskućništvu, voditeljica istraživačkog tima znanstvena savjetnica dr. sc. Lynette Šikić Mićanović i stručni suradnik Matija Krizmanić, predstavili su rezultate istraživanja te preporuke za borbu protiv beskućništva i za rad s osobama u beskućništvu.
U drugome dijelu radionice diskusija se nastavila uz predstavljanje rezultata i preporuka vezanih za socijalne usluge i prava, puteva u beskućništvo te putevima izlaska iz beskućništva. Na temelju provedenog istraživanja te postojeće prakse, komentirale su se moguće implementacije promjena u sustav socijalne skrbi, pravosuđa i zdravstva u svrhu borbe protiv beskućništva.
Members of the CSRP project team held a workshop with experts in the field of homelessness on 27th September 2023.
Team members of the CSRP research project Exploring Homelessness and Pathways to Social Inclusion: A Comparative Study of Contexts and Challenges in Swiss and Croatian Cities (No. IZHRZO_180631/1) prepared an expert interactive workshop “Projekt CSRP – Preporuke politika i praksi u radu s osobama u beskućništvu” 27th September 2023. The principal investigator, Dr. Lynette Šikić Mićanović and Matija Krizmanić, presented research results and recommendations for the prevention of homelessness as well as good practices for working with people experiencing homelessness to experts in this field.
Experts included representatives from the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, the Office of the Ombudsman, representatives of non-governmental organizations and service providers for homeless people. In the first part of the workshop, following presentation of the project, members of the research team presented their work and advocacy recommendations through a discussion in the field of legislation and administration, as well as health services and the needs of homeless people. By comparing the experiences of homeless people with the experiences of experts working with homeless people, best practices and possible changes in Croatia in these areas were discussed.
In the second part of the workshop, the discussion continued with the presentation of results and recommendations related to social services and rights, pathways into and out of homelessness. Based on the conducted research and existing practices, suggestions were made on the possible implementation of changes in the systems of social welfare, justice and health for the purpose of preventing and combating homelessness.
